Magadh University Admission Eligibility Criteria

• Eligibility for PG and vocational courses such as B.Lis, M.Sc, MBA require minimum of 45% marks in a relevant graduation degree. 
• For undergraduates, 40% aggregate marks or a passing grade in 10+2 education level is a minimum requirement for admission. 
• Prospective candidates applying for PhD programs are required to have a Masters degree with a qualified UGC score and 50% marks in the university’s entrance examination PAT (PhD Admission Test). A relaxation of 5% in eligibility is provided to reserved category candidates.

Magadh University Undergraduate admissions to various courses such as BA, B.Sc, and B.Com are open till May 2, 2025. The application fee of INR 461 is to be paid while registering online through the university’s website. The basic eligibility for admission to such courses is a minimum passing grade in the 10th and 12th classes from a recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE. The University accepts admission for various UG courses based on merit score, and also conducts an entrance exam for some courses.

Candidates can apply for PhD based on a Ph.D Admission Test (PAT) conducted by the university, provided they fulfil the basic eligibility of admission. Direct admissions are provided are from if the candidates have qualified UGC-NET, UGC-CSIR NET/JRF, GATE, or have received research fellowships from agencies like DBT, ICMR, ICAR, DST, CSSIR, ICHR, or ICPR.
