About University: Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University, located in Resham Nagar, Khanapara, Guwahati, was founded on 29 September 2005 under the KKSHOU Act, 2005. KKHSOU Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025

• UG courses admission is based on merit of 10+2, students need to pass 12th class from a recognized board with at least 40% to 45% marks.
• PG programs need a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university. Some courses require aggregated marks, like MBA requires 50% marks in UG program (45% for reserved category).
  
• Doctoral programs require a Master’s degree with 55% (50% for SC/ST/OBC) and an entrance test. Shortlisted candidates appear for written tests and presentations.

Applicants with a 10+2 marksheet from a recognized board can apply for admission. The application fee for the UG program is INR 535, and the approximate fees for various courses range between INR 31,000 to INR 45,200. 

KKHSOU PG Admission 2025-26

KKHSOU also provides admission in multiple programs at the PG level that includes MA, MBA, MSW, MSc, and M.Com in various streams. Admission to these PG programs will begin from 17 May 2025 and ends on 20 July 2025 for the July session 2025-26. Candidates who want to take admission in the PG program must have to pay an application fee of INR 535 and can apply via official website.

Approximate fees for PG courses range from INR 7,350 to INR 66,000. Students who have Bachelor’s degree with aggregate marks which vary depending on course can apply for admission like MBA needs 50% for general and 45% for reserved categories. 

KKHSOU PhD Admission 2025-26

KKHSOU PhD Admission registration process for entrance exam will begin from 3rd week of July 2025, and the expected last date to apply will be 30 August 2025* for the academic year 2025-26. The duration for Doctoral programs is a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years. Candidates who want to take admission in PhD must have Master’s degree with 55% (50% for reserved categories) and have a valid score in the entrance exam. Shortlisted candidates will further go for a written test and presentation.
