About University: Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University is a government-run state university located in Kota, Rajasthan, and was established in 1987 for open learning in Rajasthan. The university was previously known as ‘Kota Open University’ and was renamed through Gazette Notification by the Government of Rajasthan on 21 September 2002. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). VMOU UG Admission will start on 14 May 2025 for courses like BSc, B.Lib.ISC, BA, BJ, and B.Ed in different streams. 25 June 2025 will be the last date to submit an admission form for the July session 2025-26. Candidates who want to take admission in B.Ed have to pay INR 500, and for all other programs like BA, BSc, BJ, the application fees are INR 100. Admission to UG programs are based on merit, aspirants must have passed 10+2 from recognized boards to get admission at VMOU. Students have to UG course fee range between INR 8,600 to INR 3,00,000 (approximate) at the time of admission.

VMOU PG Admission 2025-26

VMOU offers PG courses like MBA, MA, M.Ed. MSc and more in various disciplines for the session 2025-26. The application process for VMOU PG Admission is expected to begin on 14 May 2025, with the last date to apply of 25 June 2025. Students with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field can apply for PG Admission. Interested candidates can apply for admission through the official website of the university by submitting the needed documents with application fees of INR 100. Approximate fees of various courses at the PG level range from INR 11,050 to INR 34,600. 

VMOU PhD Admission 2025-26

VMOU admission process for the PhD course started on 23 December 2025 for the session 2025-26, and the last date to apply was 15 January 2025. The University offers admission in Doctoral programs in various specialisations such as Botany, Commerce, English, Public Administration, Mathematics, Journalism, etc. To be eligible for admission in a PhD program, candidates must have qualified for CSIR-UGC-NET/JRF or GATE/CEED or similar National Test, which is followed by an interview.
